"like watching paint dry" was presented in ICD at the culmination of a residency in The Firkin Crane Centre which took place while we were still based in Berlin.
It ran parallel to a lecture demonstration and a work called "61 minutes silence + activity" which included the participation, as performers, of Mary Brady, the Director, and Rebecca Griffin, a local Butoh performer. Both lecture, presented by
) + ( = a0, and performance, were run in tandem using the setting of ...paint dry.
The classical raised stage was not really conducive to intimacy, so we decided to work mainly on the floor with the audience seated around three sides, using the stage only for the beginning and the end.
